#Seawolves to play season finale, host Senior Night against Yale
Nov. 25, 2013
Stony Brook, N.Y. - The Seawolves will end their season with a non-conference match against Yale Tuesday.
Last Time Out
The Stony Brook volleyball team received strong efforts from its all-conference selections senior Kaitlin Costello and sophomore Stephanie McFadden but came up short, 3-0 (25-20, 25-23, 25-17), against top-seeded UNH in the America East Semifinals. Costello had a match-high 10 kills to go along with nine digs, while McFadden posted nine kills, three blocks and a team-best two aces.
Stony Brook will honor its two seniors, outside hitter Kaitlin Costello and defensive specialist Hailee Herc, tonight. The duo helped Stony Brook have its winningest season in conference play since 2007 and earn wins over Syracuse and Princeton for the first time in program history.
With 13 digs Tuesday, sophomore captain Lo Hathaway can become Stony Brook's all-time Division I record holder in single-season digs. She currently sits in a tie with Abby Egan (2004) for third with 533 digs this season. Noelle Bay tallied 545 digs in 2007.
