Stony Brook, N.Y. – Incoming freshman Cailyn Hart has joined the Stony Brook women’s volleyball team for the 2013 season, head coach Coley Pawlikowski announced Friday. The 5’6 Hart will serve as a defensive specialist for the Seawolves.

“Our staff is excited to welcome Cailyn Hart to the Seawolves family!” Pawlikowski said. “Cailyn is a solid ball control player and will help add support to our group in the back row. She also brings a great team attitude and work ethic to the program.”

A Webster, N.Y., native, Hart played three seasons at Webster Schroeder High School and captained the squad in 2012. As a sophomore, she helped lead the team to an appearance in the state championship and a 16-2 mark. Hart earned All-Greater Rochester honorable mention status during her senior season and was a four-time Scholar-Athlete.

She was named to the High Honor Roll and was a member of the National Honor Society. Hart spent summers playing club volleyball for VolleyFX Magic.

The Pawlikowski-era of Stony Brook volleyball will begin this fall.
