Stony Brook, N.Y. - The Stony Brook volleyball team hosted its Alumae Day Saturday. Numerous alumnae returned to Seawolves Country for a fun-filled day, which included a chance to rekindle friendships and meet the squad's current student-athletes.

"We want to thank all of the alums that came back for this event," head coach Coley Pawlikowski said. "We had an amazing turnout and were encouraged by the showing of support for our program. The current student-athletes and our staff really enjoyed having the opportunity to network with them while also reminiscing about their experiences at SBU."

The day opened with an alumane scrimmage that featured both former and current Seawolves. Alumane then made their ways up to the VIP Suite at Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium for a lunch prior to the start of the Stony Brook-Binghamton men's lacrosse game. The group then took in the game together.

"We hope that as the day went on, everyone looked back on their time here at Stony Brook and rekindled friendships and memories while meeting new faces and sharing new experiences as well!" Pawlikowski continued. "We look forward to honoring our alums in the fall and having this event each spring!"

Pawlikowski, who took the reigns of the program in January, plans on hosting alumane each semester. In the fall, she and the program plan to extend an invitation to a match where they will receive special recognition in between sets.
