Stony Brook volleyball head coach Coley Pawlikowski announced the hiring of Taylor Braun as an assistant coach in February 2014. He works extensively with the setters and will look to continue to develop the offense.

The 2013 graduate of University of Wisconsin joins the Seawolves after spending one season as the boys volleyball head coach at Catholic Memorial High School in Waukesha, Wisc., where he mentored the team to an undefeated conference mark and a trip to the state semifinals.

Braun was an assistant coach for the West Allis Lightning Club team that won a Junior Olympic national title. While with West Allis, he helped to produce eight future men's Division I athletes.

Braun served as the boy's freshman head coach and varsity assistant coach from 2010-12 at Middleton High School. His freshman squads won three consecutive conference championships under his tutelage.

He also worked as a summer camp coach at Wisconsin, coaching a JV girl's team and running position-specific drills for high school players.

Braun was a first team All-Big Ten selection in 2012 and was named to the honorable mention squad in 2011 and 2013 as a member of Badgers' club volleyball team. As the team's president in 2011-12, he was charged with running tryouts, scheduling tournaments and serving as a player-coach.
