Claire Lindner is in her fifth season as an assistant coach at Stony Brook. Lindner's main responsibility is coaching the Seawolves defense by working closely with the libero's and defensive specialists. She also coordinates film exchange and off season conditioning.
Under Linder's watch, the Seawolves defense totaled 1,944 digs in 2007 (the most since 1998) helping the team attain a 24-8 record and become America East regular season champions. In 2008, the Seawolves totaled 1,344 digs.
Claire served as Libero and team captain for the Seawolves from 2003-06. As a senior, she was named all-conference second team and team co-MVP. Her 3.34 digs per set ranks third all-time at Stony Brook and her 1,360 total digs ranks fourth.
She graduated in May 2007 with a Bachelor's degree in history and again in December 2008 with a Masters degree in liberal studies.
