Indianapolis, Ind. - Two days after winning its second straight America East Conference title, the Stony Brook women's tennis team has drawn California in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on May 10.

Stony Brook, which posted a record of 12-4 in dual matches, captured its second straight conference title in dominant fashion. The Seawolves recorded a pair of 4-0 wins on their way to the crown.

Senior Nini Lagvilava (Tbilisi, Georgia) leads a Stony Brook squad which has won four straight matches and nine of its last 10. Lagvilava is ranked No. 115 by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA).

California went 15-5 in dual matches this season. The Golden Bears are seeded eighth in this year's tournament. Auburn and St. Mary's (Cal.) also are slated for the Berkeley Regional.

For the first round of the 2012 NCAA Tournament, Stony Brook was chosen to face Stanford.
