West Point, N.Y. - For the first time in school history, the Stony Brook women's tennis team captured three singles flight victories at the West Point Invitational.

Freshman Adey Osabouhien, seeded second, led the charge, winning the 'B' flight with wins over players from Bryant, Seton Hall and Illinois before a 6-4, 6-4 win in the finals.  Sophomore Louise Badoche, seeded fifth, upset No. 1 Julia Jamieson of Illinois in the quarterfinals.

In the 'C' flight, freshman Nadia Smergut ousted UConn's Shea Flanagan, 6-1, 2-6, 10-5, in the semifinals on her way to a singles title.  She upset Quinnipiac's Sydney Young, 3-6, 6-2, 10-3 in the finals.

Senior Lisa Setyon was dominant in her own right, winning four matches in straight sets to capture the 'D' flight.

Success wasn't only limited to singles as the duo of junior Cassandra Dix and sophomore Becky Shtilkind advanced to the 'B' finals before falling to Fordham's Genkina and Novacek.

The Seawolves' final fall tune-up will come at the ITA Regionals hosted by Harvard on October 17.
