West Point, N.Y. - Senior Nini Lagvilava (Tbilsi, Georgia), freshman Jackie Altansarnai (Hinsdale, Ill.) and sophomore Polina Movchan (Kiev, Ukraine) each posted wins at No. 1 singles on day one of the West Point Invitational at Army.

Lagvilava beat Army's Maya Parker, 6-1, 6-2, to advance to Saturday's quarterfinal. Altansarnai topped Bella Genkina of Fordham, 9-7, 6-2, and Movchan bested Fordham's Amy Simidian, 6-4, 6-0.

Sophomore Cassandra Dix (Northamptonshire, U.K.) beat Julie Leong of Fordham, 6-3, 6-4, at No. 3 singles. Freshman Louise Badoche topped UConn's Emilie Burgess, 6-2, 6-1.
