In a final tune-up for the America East Championships, the Stony Brook women's tennis team defeated Fairfield, 7-0, Sunday afternoon at the Walsh Athletic Center.  Freshmen Jackie Altansarnai (Hinsdale, Ill.) and Louise Badoche (Paris, France) each won their singles matches and combined for a win in doubles.

At No. 1 singles, Altansarnai blanked Sharissa Ryan as did Badoche against Victoria Pirrello at No. 5 singles. 

Altansarnai and Badoche teamed for an 8-2 victory at No. 1 doubles.

Senior Chloe Pike (Bristol, England) earned a 6-2, 6-0 decision at No. 6 singles.  Freshman Becky Shtilkind (Brooklyn, N.Y.) captured a 6-1, 6-2 victory.

The 2013 America East Championship, beginning Friday, April 26, will be held at UMBC.
