#Seawolves beat Bethune-Cookman, Florida Tech

The Stony Brook women's tennis team will head back to the northeast with a 2-0 record on its recent trip to Florida. The Seawolves edged Bethune-Cookman, 4-3, and beat Division II Power and No. 18 Florida Tech, 8-1.
Dix's win at No. 5 singles clinch the match for the Seawolves.
Wins at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles helped Stony Brook capture the doubles point against the Wildcats.
The Seawolves rolled against the Panthers, winning each of the six singles matches. Dix was solid at No. 4 singles, defeating Jessica Widmark, 6-1, 6-0.
Other than sophomore Jackie AltanSarnai's (Hinsdale, Ill.) three-set victory at No. 1 singles, the other singles matches were won in straight sets.
Stony Brook will head to Baltimore next weekend for matches against Towson and UMBC, which will be the conference opener.
