The Stony Brook women's tennis team swept the doubles points and won easily at No. 1 and No. 2 singles on its way to a 6-1 win over Connecticut. The match vs. the Huskies, which was originally scheduled for February 6, was played at Army.

Senior Nini Lagvilava (Tbilsi, Georgia) and freshman Jackie Altansarnai (Hinsdale, Ill.) defeated the UConn duo of Weinberg and Stosljevic, 8-5.

Lagvilava followed that up with a 7-6, 6-1 win at No. 1 singles.  Sophomore Polina Movchan (Kiev, Ukraine) was victorious at No. 2 singles (6-1, 6-0).  Freshman Becky Shtilkind (Brooklyn, N.Y.), senior Chloe Pike (Bristol, England) and sophomore Cassandra Dix (Northamptonshire, United Kingdom) also won in straight sets.

The Seawolves will face Columbia in Manhattan on March 2 at 10 a.m.
