Named an assistant coach in August 2010, Jay Friedman is involved in all aspects of the Seawolves tennis program.
Friedman founded and owns his own strength & conditioning company called ChampionMade and worked as the strength & conditioning coach and tennis instructor at The Claremont Club in Claremont, Calif. He worked with future level tennis players, tactical athletes and many junior athletes while working at ChampionMade and The Claremont Club.
Friedman played his college tennis at George Mason. A team captain, he was also an ITA Scholar-Athlete.
Upon graduating from George Mason, Friedman became the assistant men's and women's tennis coach at Allegheny College where the women produced their best finish in seven seasons and the men finished ranked 18th in the Central Region.
In 2008, he worked at the Malibu Summer Tennis Camp at Pepperdine University as a tennis and strength & conditioning coach.
Friedman has a C.S.C.S (certified strength and conditioning specialist) and graduated from George Mason in 2007 with a degree in Exercise Science.
