Stony Brook, N.Y. - Registration is now open for the 2013 Homerun Softball Showcase Training Camp at Stony Brook University on Columbus Day, Oct. 14. The camp is open to grades 7-12 and will feature some of the top head and assistant coaches in the Northeast.

The camp, which will be held at the Stony Brook Softball Field, will give participants the opportunity to showcase their skills in front of college coaches and learn more about the game from some of the top minds in the sport.

The morning session includes a warm up followed by a progression on defense, including glove work and foot work, plus throwing and position play for infielders and outfielders. Pitchers and catchers are separated into their own groups to hone individual skills. The second half of the day shifts to hitting instruction, where participants will rotate to different stations and learn various skills and philosophies from different coaches.
