Kim Ragazzo will join the #Seawolves program for the 2015 season after transferring to Stony Brook from Dominican College. Ragazzo, a corner infielder, was voted the Chargers team MVP in both her seasons at the school. In 2014, she hit .349 with five home runs and 32 RBI.

"Kim is an outstanding student-athlete who is a great fit for Stony Brook and a welcome addition to our program," said head coach Megan Bryant. "Kim has the ability to play the corners for us, she can drive in runs and she loves to compete."

Ragazzo's two seasons at Dominican were filled with accolades and awards. She was twice named All-CACC first team (earning CACC Rookie of the Year honors as a freshman), once NFCA All-East Region first team, and once Daktronics Division II All-East Region first team. She was also named the Dominican College "Top Sophomore Female-Scholar Athlete" at the conclusion of last year.

Her big bat should immediately bolster an already formidable offense that ranked third in the America East in team batting average (.279) and fourth in runs scored (3.9 runs per game) in 2014.
