Preview: The Stony Brook softball team will head across the Long Island Sound to face Quinnipiac in a non-conference doubleheader Thursday.  The Seawolves are coming off a three-game series sweep of UMass Lowell, outscoring the River Hawks, 17-2.  Since starting the season 0-5, Stony Brook is 20-9.

Opponent: Quinnipiac is hitting a respectable .260, but its team ERA is 6.36.  Jordan Paolucci leads the Bobcats in hitting (.363), hits (33), HRs (7) and RBIs (21).  Sydney Robey is batting .280 with six homers and 19 RBIs.  Robey also has seen extensive time in the circle, recording a 2-12 record with a 4.81 ERA in 96 innings. Hannah Lindsley also has started 14 games and is 5-8 with a 6.19 ERA. 

Series: Since joining the Division I ranks in 2000, Stony Brook is 9-5 against Quinnipiac.  The Seawolves swept a doubleheader from the Bobcats last season, 6-0 and 5-4.  Stony Brook has won six out of the last eight meetings.

Up Next: Stony Brook will host Maine for a three-game series at University Field.  The Seawolves' senior class will be honored with a pre-game ceremony on Sunday.
