Ryan to speak at 2013 NSCAA Convention

Indianapolis, Ind. - Head coach Sue Ryan of the Stony Brook women's soccer team has been invited to speak at the 2013 NSCAA Convention in January.

A member of the NSCAA Coaching Education Staff, Ryan has been speaking at the convention for over 10 years and will present as a both a field clinician and lecturer.

Ryan is part of all-star cast of presenters, including several former U.S. National Team coaches, professional players and some of the top minds in college soccer.

Set for Jan. 16-20, the convention's theme "Innovate to Elevate" will focus on new techniques, training plans and more to help coaches take their teams to the next level.

Under the guidance of Ryan, Stony Brook enjoyed its most successful season to date in 2012, winning 12 games and making its first appearance in the NCAA Tournament. The Seawolves placed two players on NSCAA All-Northeast Region teams (Sa'sha Kershaw, Ahriel Fernandez) and had one player (Kershaw) nominated for the Soccer News Net College Boot, given to the women's player of the year.
