Stony Brook, N.Y. - Senior Sa'sha Kershaw (Baltimore, Md.) of the Stony Brook women's soccer team has been named one of 37 finalists for the 2012 Soccer News Net College Boot award, recognizing the women's college player of the year.

Now fans can help Sa'sha win the award by casting their vote on

Online fan voting will account for 40% of the total toward the award. The remaining 60% of the vote will be cast by the Soccer News Net editorial staff. The winner of the popular vote will receive the Soccer News Net Supporter's Choice Award.

Fans from across the country will be able to vote for their favorite player until December 15 across the Soccer News Net network of websites.

Kershaw was named first-team All-America East and the Most Outstanding Player of the America East Tournament after leading the Seawolves to their first NCAA Tournament appearance in 2012. Kershaw started every game for the Seawolves and led the team with 2,070 minutes played, while chipping in six goals and three assists. The Baltimore, Md. native finished her illustrious career as the program's all-time points leader (44) since the Seawolves joined the America East in 2001.
