Volunteer Assistant Coach

Michelle Gulino joined the Stony Brook women's soccer program as a volunteer coach in September 2012 and was officially named a Volunteer Assistant Coach in August 2013. In her current capacity, Gulino is responsible for directing youth summer camps and programs, coordinating pregame and postgame events, holding weekly academic meetings with student-athletes and compiling recruiting reports.

In addition to her duties with the Stony Brook women's soccer team, Gulino is also involved in several other coaching endeavors in the Three Village community. Gulino has worked with the Port Jefferson girls varsity soccer team as a Volunteer Goalkeeper Trainer since 2012 and has served as the Head Coach of the Happy Feet youth soccer program since 2010. For the past seven years, Gulino has also worked as an Assistant Director at the Three Village Central School District Summer Recreation Program.

A standout soccer and lacrosse player at St. Joseph's College in Patchogue, N.Y., Gulino was named the school's Female Athlete of the Year as a senior in 2012. Gulino captained the soccer team from 2009-11 and the lacrosse team from 2011-12, and was an active member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), including the NCAA Division III National SAAC. From 2008-11, Gulino served as the St. Joseph's College Class President and was a member of the Lambda Pi Eta Speech Honors Society and Sigma Iota Chi Honors Society in 2012.

Gulino earned her bachelor's degree in arts speech communications from St. Joseph's College in May 2012. She is currently pursuing a master's degree in higher education administration at Stony Brook.
