Stony Brook, N.Y. - The Stony Brook women's lacrosse team began practice Monday, Sept. 9 with a newcomers vs. returners scrimmage. 

The Seawolves are coming off their best season in program history, which included a top-ten national ranking and first round win in the NCAA Tournament. Head coach Joe Spallina has added an incoming class of 15 decorated newcomers that includes 14 freshmen, six High School All-Americans and five selections to ESPN's Watch List.
