Stony Brook, N.Y. – Senior midfielder Demmianne Cook of the No. 10/9 Stony Brook women's lacrosse team has added to her growing list of 2013 postseason accolades. Her defensive prowess helped Stony Brook pace Division I in scoring defensive, surrendering a mere 5.65 goals per game, the lowest goals against average in NCAA history.
A dynamic midfielder, Cook finished the year at fifth in total points (96), eighth in points per game (4.8) and 12th in draw controls per contest (4.8) after racking up a school single-season record of 96.
