Stony Brook has previously hosted NCAA Men’s Lacrosse Championship events twice before. Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium saw the biggest crowd in its history as the host of the 2010 NCAA Division I Men’s Lacrosse North Quarterfinals which drew a record crowd of nearly 11,000, and the stadium also played host to the 2006 NCAA Division I Men’s Lacrosse North Quarterfinals.
