Women's hoops to host St. Francis Brooklyn on Wednesday

Stony Brook, N.Y. - Due to a scheduling conflict, the Stony Brook women's basketball game against St. Francis Brooklyn on Wednesday has been moved to a home game. Tipoff at Pritchard Gym is set for 7 p.m. and admission to the game will be FREE.

Last Time Out

The Seawolves (6-4) forced 26 turnovers to see off St. Peter's on Saturday by a score of 63-41. Junior Chikilra Goodman (Phildelphia, Pa.) scored 13 points and senior Dani Klupenger (Aurora, Ore.) added 12 off the bench to pace Stony Brook. Klupenger hit four three's to move into fifth place all time at SBU with 77 career triples.

St. Francis Brooklyn

The Terriers opened the season with wins over Army and Delaware State, but have since lost six straight, including a 49-45 defeat at Columbia last Tuesday. Sarah Benedetti (10.4 points per game) and Eilidh Simpson (10.0) pace the team offensively, while Jaymee Veney leads the team on the glass with 6.6 boards per contest.

Northeast Nemesis

Stony Brook will face its fourth Northeast Conference foe of the season on Wednesday. The Seawolves are 2-1 vs. the NEC with wins over Robert Morris and Sacred Heart and a loss to Fairleigh Dickinson.

Stony Brook ranks 21st in the country in rebounding margin at +9.9 per game. The Seawolves are 6-1 this season when outrebounding their opponent.
