Full 2012-13 Schedule

Stony Brook, N.Y. - The Stony Brook University women's basketball team has announced its complete 2012-13 regular season schedule, which includes 13 home games at Pritchard Gymnasium and a full 16-game America East slate leading up to the conference tournament March 8-10 in Albany.

The America East office released the conference schedule on Tuesday afternoon, completing the Seawolves 29-game regular season. Game times for the conference schedule will be announced at a later date.

Stony Brook's 13-game non-conference schedule features four teams that advanced to postseason competition last season and is highlighted by its first ever matchup with BIG EAST power Rutgers on Dec. 21 at the RAC.

SB kicks off the season with two straight home games, opening against Rider on Friday, Nov. 9 before welcoming two-time defending Patriot League champion Navy to Pritchard two days later.

Among the other notable non-conference games for the Seawolves are matchups with Robert Morris (Nov. 28) and Sacred Heart (Dec. 4), each who advanced to the postseason last year.

Stony Brook opens the 16-game America East schedule on Jan. 2 by welcoming defending regular season champ Boston University to Pritchard. SB then sandwiches road games against New Hampshire (Jan. 5) and Hartford (Jan. 12) around a home contest against Binghamton (Jan. 9).

Vermont visits Stony Brook on Jan. 19 before the Seawolves hit the road for games at UMBC (Jan. 23) and Maine (Jan. 26).

SB plays three of its next four at home beginning with a matchup against defending tournament champion Albany at Pritchard on Jan. 30. The only road game during that stretch is in Boston against the Terriers (Feb. 6) with the other home contests coming vs. New Hampshire (Feb. 2) and Feb. 9 (Hartford).

Road games against Binghamton (Feb. 13) and Vermont (Feb. 16) follow before the Seawolves wrap up their home schedule against UMBC (Feb. 20) and Maine (Feb. 23).

Stony Brook closes the regular season at Albany March 2 before returning less than a week later for the 2013 America East Championships, which will be held March 8-10 at SEFCU Arena.
