April 17, 2013

Stony Brook, N.Y. – Stony Brook women’s basketball head coach Beth O’Boyle will hold a day camp for girl’s ages 7-15 this summer. It will include individual development, games, skills competitions and a guest speaker each day.

Beth O’Boyle basketball camp is a six-hour daily instructional clinic run by the second-year coach, who engineered the seventh-best turnaround in the nation in 2012-13, and members of the SBU women’s basketball team. Both offensive and defensive skills will be highlighted with the goal of teaching participants the fundamentals of basketball while also teaching sportsmanship and team spirit.

Campers will receive a free camp t-shirt and basketball.

The first session will be held from July 1-3 and costs $235, while the second session will run from July 29-Aug. 1 and is $315. Participants can save $50 if the application is received by June 1 and must register by July 1 for session one and July 15 for session two. They must have a complete medical history form, wear appropriate basketball attire (basketball sneakers, athletic socks and shorts, a t-shirt and water bottle) and abide by camp rules and regulations.
