Stony Brook, N.Y. - The Stony Brook Athletics Department has announced that it will sponsor fan buses to the America East women's basketball tournament in Binghamton, N.Y. this weekend. A fan bus will leave each day from campus and return each evening as the Seawolves advance through the tournament. Stony Brook, winners of seven straight games, enters the tournament as the No. 2 seed and their first tournament game will be against UMBC at 12 p.m. on Friday in the quarterfinal round.

Friday's fan bus will depart from the Indoor Sports Complex at 6 a.m. and return later that evening following the conclusion of the game. To secure your seat on Friday's fan bus, contact Eric George at 631-632-9556 or email him at The deadline for reserving your seat on the Friday bus will be Thursday at 5 p.m.

Should the Seawolves defeat UMBC on Friday, they will play in the semifinals at 5 p.m. on Saturday. The fan bus will depart campus at 11:30 a.m. and return to campus around midnight following the conclusion of the game. The fan bus will keep the same schedule for Sunday if the Seawolves advance to the championship game which tips-off at 5 p.m.

The Stony Brook Athletic Department will provide complimentary tickets to ALL Stony Brook students who are interested in traveling on the fan bus to the tournament. Students must present their student I.D. on the bus to receive a complimentary ticket. For Friday and Saturday's games, adult tickets are $15 (Chairbacks) and $12 (Bleachers). For children ages 14 and under, tickets are $9 (Chairback) and $6 (Bleachers). Sunday's championship ticket pricing is $18 (Chairback), $15 (Bleachers) for adults and $11 (Chairbacks) and $8 (Bleachers) for children ages 14 and under.
