#Seawolves set for Sunday showdown against UNH at Pritchard

Stony Brook, N.Y. - The Stony Brook women's basketball team will try to get revenge on New Hampshire for an overtime loss in Durham Jan. 11 when it hosts the Wildcats Sunday at 2 p.m. The #Seawolves will host a pregame clinic in honor of National Girls and Women in Sports Day.
Stony Brook will host a pregame clinic for boys and girls ages six and 13 in honor of National Girls and Women in Sports Day. All participants will receive a free ticket to the game. Additional tickets can be purchased at the door, online at the link above or by phone at (631) 632-WOLF.

Last Time Out
Freshman Kori Bayne-Walker led all scorers with a career-high 18 points, and Sabre Proctor finished with 14 points and eight rebounds as Stony Brook (16-7, 7-3 America East) toppled Binghamton, 62-42, Wednesday night at Pritchard Gymnasium. Bayne-Walker scored 16 of her points in the second half. The two sides were even at 26-26 at the break and 32-32 with 15:09 to play, but the Seawolves held Binghamton to without a field goal for nearly 11 minutes and used a 16-1 run to take a 48-35 lead on a Kim Hanlon jump shot at 4:44.
Scouting the Wildcats
New Hampshire (14-8, 8-1) is second in the America East standings and is riding a four-game winning streak after a 46-35 win over UMBC Thursday night. The Wildcats boast the second-best scoring defense in the league (57.2) and are led offensively by Corrine Coia and Kelsey Hogan, who are each averaging 11.7 points per game.
Series History vs. the Wildcats
The Seawolves rallied from a 15-point halftime deficit to force overtime but fell, 71-68, at New Hampshire despite a career-high 25 points from Sabre Proctor Jan. 11. Stony Brook swept UNH in the regular season last year, but the Wildcats have taken the last two meetings including a 49-46 loss in the 2012-13 America East Quarterfinals. The Wildcats hold a 19-10 lead in the all-time series.
The Seawolves have a week off before traveling to UMass Lowell Feb. 15 for a 2 p.m. tip.
