Stony Brook, N.Y. - Senior Ivan Rummel (Budapest, N.Y.) advanced to the finals in Flight A singles action to lead the Stony Brook University men's tennis team on Sunday afternoon at the 2nd annual Stony Brook Invitational. Rummel defeated Daniele Piludu from Concordia College, 6-3, 1-6, 10-7 before falling in straight sets to Andrey Boldarev in the final.

Rummel was one of four Seawolves that advanced to at least the semifinals in singles action over the weekend. Junior Mitch Wong (Tampa, Fla.) fell in three sets in Flight B while junior Max Sztabholz (Paris, France) and sophomore Roope Kailaheimo (Helsinki, Finland) each lost in straight sets in Flights B and C, respectively.

Stony Brook returns to action next weekend at the ITA Regionals in New Haven, Conn.
