Stony Brook, N.Y. - The Stony Brook men's tennis team will open the 2013 America East Championships against UMBC Friday afternoon at 12:30 p.m. The Seawolves, seeded second, will face the No. 3 Retrievers on their home court.

UMBC defeated Stony Brook, 5-2, on March 29, but the Seawolves are riding a four-game winning streak.

"We're playing so much better than we were a month ago," coach Gary Glassman said. "The guys are competing at a different level and their confidence level is at a season high."

Should Stony Brook advance past UMBC, the Seawolves will face the winner of No. 1 Binghamton and No. 4 Hartford in the Championship on Sunday, April 28 at 10 a.m.
