New Haven, Conn. - Against some of the Northeast's best schools, the Stony Brook men's tennis team battled at the ITA Regionals, hosted by Yale University.

Freshman Alexandre Felisa (Boulogne, France) topped St. Bonaventure's Eduardo Irizarry, 6-0, 6-2 before rallying to beat Princeton's Dan Davies, 2-6, 6-4, 7-5 to qualify for the main draw. Felisa carried the momentum into his next match with a first-set win over Buffalo's Sebastian Ionescu, but Ionescu rallied to take the match. Freshman Raphael Termat (Nice, France) also claimed the first set against his opponent, Binghamton's Eliott Hureau, 6-3, before Hureau took the next two sets 6-5, 6-2.

Sophomore Jose Morales (Bradenton, Fla.) was the third Seawolf to compete in the main draw and also won the first set against Penn's Marshall Sharp. But Morales went on to lose the match in three sets, 3-6, 6-4, 6-1.

Sophomore Marcelo Locatelli (Londrina, Brazil) fell in qualifying to MJ Every of St. John's, 6-4, 6-3.

In doubles play, Morales and Locatelli lost to Brown's Justin To and Lucas de Silveira, 8-5.
