Men's tennis beats Hartford, falls to Binghamton

Stony Brook, N.Y. - The Stony Brook men's tennis team won all six singles matches on its way to a 6-0 victory over Hartford on Saturday. The Seawolves fell to Binghamton, 7-0 in the morning. SBU is now 9-9 on the season.
Sophomore Nikita Fomin (Moscow, Russia) did not drop a game as he won at No. 1 singles against Hartford. Senior Roope Kailaheimo (Helsinki, Finland) won 7-6, 7-6 at the No. 3 position against Hartford.
The Seawolves dropped their opening match of the day to Binghamton. Fomin and freshman Francis Bertrand won at No. 1 doubles but the Bearcats won at No. 2 and No. 3 to earn the first point.
Binghamton then won all six singles matches, three of which came in three sets.
The Seawolves close the regular season on Tuesday against Fairfield in advance of next weekends America East championships.
