Assistant Coach

Fourth Season

Mike Mordocco is in his fourth season as an assistant coach at Stony Brook after spending three years at Oneonta State. Prior to Oneonta, Mordocco spent four years as a member of the University of Connecticut menʼs soccer team. While there he was part of four Big East regular season titles, two conference tournament championships, two final fours and one national championship. In 2003, Mordocco graduated from UConn with a degree in Economics. Mordocco played high school soccer at Half Hollow Hills East High School and was involved in the ODP for Long Island while playing for the regional team. "We feel fortunate to have Mike as a part of our staff," said head coach Cesar Markovic. "He's an enthusiastic young coach with a great feel for the game. He knows the game extremely well and is an excellent recruiter. His experience winning a national championship at UConn will be immeasurable to our team."
