#Seawolves alum Brendan Callahan named head coach at Dartmouth

Brendan Callahan '07 was named Dartmouth's head men's lacrosse coach Monday

Hanover, N.H. - Former Stony Brook men's lacrosse All-American Brendan Callahan '07 has been named head coach at Dartmouth College, the University announced on Monday.

Callahan spent the last seven years as an assistant coach at Lehigh University.

"I am honored and humbled to be chosen as the next coach here at Dartmouth," Callahan said in a statement.

Under Kevin Cassese, a former Stony Brook assistant, Callahan helped the Mountain Hawks to NCAA Tournament berths in 2012 and 2013.

Callahan enjoyed a standout career for the Seawolves, earning All-America honors as a freshman. In 2004, he led Division I with a .687 save percentage and a 5.96 goals against average.

Callahan finished his career at Stony Brook with a .584 save percentage and a 8.80 goals against average in 54 career games.

Callahan graduated from Stony Brook in 2007 with a degree in health care management.
