#Seawolves fall to Albany, 17-7
The Stony Brook men's lacrosse team fell to 5-8, 1-2 in America East play after a 17-7 loss to Albany Saturday night at John Fallon Field. Sophomore Challen Rogers (Coquitlam, British Columbia) led the Seawolves with two goals and four assists, which tied a career-high.

Faceoff: The Stony Brook men's lacrosse team will open America East Championship play against Albany Thursday night at 7:30 p.m.  The Seawolves, seeded fourth, will face the No. 1 Great Danes, who are ranked 18th in this week's USILA Coaches' Poll.  No. 2 Binghamton will play No. 3 UMBC at 5 p.m. in the other semifinal.

Opponent: Albany is led by siblings, Miles and Lyle Thompson.  Miles has tallied 60 goals and 30 assists and Lyle leads Division I with 61 assists and 98 points.  Their cousin, Ty, has scored 32 goals. Blaze Riorden has started all 14 games in goals, registering a 11.13 goals against average and a .563 save percentage.  Connor Russell has been Albany's primary face-off specialist and is winning 47 percent of his draws.



Series: The Great Danes have won the last three games to take a 15-13 series advantage.  Stony Brook had won seven straight from 2009 to 2012.  The series against Albany is the longest against any school for the Seawolves.
