Men's lacrosse rallies past Sacred Heart, 12-10
Freshman Challen Rogers (Coquitlam, British Columbia) tied a career-high with three goals, and three other players added two goals as the Stony Brook men's lacrosse team rallied past Sacred Heart, 12-10, Saturday afternoon at Campus Field.

Faceoff: The Stony Brook men's lacrosse team will cap a three-game homestand with a non-conference contest against Sacred Heart Tuesday night.  The Seawolves enter tomorrow's game having lost to No. 1 Maryland, 11-8, last Saturday.  The Pioneers earned their first victory of the season after an 11-10 win over Providence.

Opponent: Senior Cody Marquis leads the Pioneers with seven assists and 15 points.  Junior Jon Flood, a transfer from Jacksonville, has started all four games in goal.  He's registered a 9.20 goals against average and a .582 save percentage.  Junior Joe Kemp has taken the majority of the draws, winning 41 of 78 (.526). In addition to facing Stony Brook, Sacred Heart will face Hartford and Vermont in consecutive games. 



Series: Last year's 12-10 win over Sacred Heart was the first all-time meeting between the two schools. The Seawolves overcame a 5-0 deficit in the first quarter.  Sophomore Challen Rogers had three goals last season.
