Football stages comeback to beat Albany, 31-28
Senior Brock Jackolski scored three touchdowns in the second half to help bring the Stony Brook football team back from an 18-point deficit to beat Albany, 31-28, in front of a sellout LaValle Stadium crowd. Junior Dominick Reyes ended the game with an interception in the end zone to prevent an Albany touchdown.

Kickoff: Coming off an exciting 41-38 victory over No. 25 James Madison, the Stony Brook football team hosts Albany in the season finale.  The win over the Dukes snapped a three-game losing streak for the Seawolves, who were led by senior quarterback Lyle Negron’s five total touchdowns.  Saturday’s game against the Great Danes is being billed as the #EmpireClash as well as Senior Day.

Mike Solano (PBP) and Curt Hylton (color) will call the action on the new home of Stony Brook Football, Champions Radio.  Fans can listen to the game on 107.1 and 96.9 as well as online at ChampionsRadio.com.

Opponent: Albany (1-10, 0-7) joins Stony Brook as first-year members of CAA Football.  The Great Danes’ lone victory came against Colgate (37-34) in week two.  Junior quarterback Will Fiacchi has passed for more than 2,200 yards and nine touchdowns.  Senior wide receiver Kevin Chillis (619 yards) has accounted for five scores.  Junior Omar Osbourne has rushed for 1,149 yards and 12 touchdowns.  Junior Olatunji Idowu leads the Great Danes with 80 tackles.

Series: Albany leads the all-time series, 9-5, including 6-4 at the Division I level.  But the last meeting will go down as one of the greatest in Seawolves history.  After claiming the 2011 Big South Championship, the Seawolves trailed the Great Danes, 28-10, early in the third quarter.  Stony Brook’s Brock Jackolski accounted for three touchdowns in the second half to put the Seawolves ahead by three, 31-28.  In the final drive of the game, Albany had a second and goal from the three, but Dan Di Lella’s pass was tipped by D.J. Porter and intercepted by Dominick Reyes as Stony Brook held on for the victory.

Gameday/Ticket Policies: High School football prospects and Stony Brook University students can enter the facility at Gate 1.  The first 200 students will receive a coupon for free wings courtesy of Buffalo Wild Wings. Members of the media and VIPs are asked to pick up their credentials at Gate 3. Player comps, coaches' tickets, Albany reservations, band, dance and cheer and general will call will be found at the tent outside Gate 6.  Will Call opens at 11, general sales at 11:30 and gates open at 12 p.m. General sales are located at Gate 2 and 6.  Online sales will end at 9 a.m. Saturday.

Promotions: Leading up to Saturday's game, an related event will be held outside the Student Activities Center from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Students can enter a drawing to win a Playstation 4 or Michael Kors bag. The winner will be announced at the game.

5th Annual Turkey Drive Benefiting Island Harvest
Volunteers will accept frozen turkey donations in the stadium parking lot just outside Competition Auto Group Gate 2.  The food drive runs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.  Island Harvest supplies meals to over 300,000 hungry Long Islanders in need, including thousands of Hurricane Sandy victims that are still facing hardship. Fans participating in the turkey drive can take advantage of a special Buy 1 Ticket, Get 1 Free Ticket promotion courtesy of Bethpage Federal Credit Union

NY Life Presenting Sponsor - Family Safety Day  
All children who are accompanied by a parent or legal guardian should stop by one of the New York Life table's located inside Competition Automotive Group Gate 2 and the Petro Home Services Gate 6 can receive an free identification card, complete with their emergency contact information, a photograph and fingerprints. 
Stony Brook Medicine Day: 
All Stony Brook Medicine employees can "Buy 1 Ticket, Get 1 Free" to this Saturday's game, must be purchased in ADVANCE from the Stony Brook Athletics Ticket Office in person or over the phone.  A member of the Stony Brook Athletics Ticket Office staff will be selling tickets at the hospital this Thursday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. outside the main cafeteria.
