Charlotte, N.C. -

In this week's Big South football teleconference, Stony Brook coach Chuck Priore talks about the win over Charleston Southern and discusses the challenges of facing Coastal Carolina on the road.

Charleston Southern recap ...

  • "I was pleased with our focus.  The measure of a team following a big win is how you prepare and how you perform is critical.  We took advantage of some of their mistakes and capitalized with some big plays in the passing game.  I thought Coach (Jay) Mills did a good job preparing his offense to attack our defense. I was pleased with the total effort."
Looking ahead to Coastal Carolina ...
  • "What I see on film is a very good football team.  This time of year, you don't look at records, you look at performance and I see they've been very competitive.  They fought hard against Toledo, Eastern Kentucky and Furman.  Offensively, I really love their quarterback (Aramis Hillary).  Over the last few years, I've been impressed with his maturity and leadership.  He's got a lot of play-making ability.
