Opponent: Despite leading Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) in rushing, Army enters Saturday's contest with an 0-3 record, losing to San Diego State, Northern Illinois and Wake Forest.  The Black Knights, who utilize a triple-option offensive attack, are led by a trio of rushers - slot back Raymond Maples (406 yards), running back Larry Dixon (282 yds.) and quarterback Trent Steelman (201 yds.).  The trio have accounted for 172 of the team's 225 carries.  Geoffrey Bacon has a team-high 29 tackles for Army, which has given up 40 points in each of its first three games.

Series: Saturday's game will be the first meeting between Stony Brook and Army.

Coming up next week: Stony Brook will open Big South play against Charleston Southern on October 6.  The Seawolves, who joined the Big South for the start of the 2008 season, are 19-4 all-time in conference play.
