Charlotte, N.C. - Senior Miguel Maysonet (Riverhead, N.Y.) of the Stony Brook football team has been named Big South Offensive Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday afternoon. It's the fifth time that Maysonet has garnered the award.

Maysonet rushed for 158 yards, including a 71-yard score that garnered the Walter Payton Award watchlist nominee No. 8 on SportsCenter's top 10 list. A key block from sophomore Mike Lisi (Franklin Square, N.Y.) allowed Maysonet to hurdle Syracuse's Keon Lyn and run untouched into the endzone.

With 3,143 career rushing yards, Maysonet is 465 yards shy of topping Conte Cuttino's school record of 3,607. He is 491 shy of breaking former Liberty and current Jacksonville Jaguar Rashad Jennings' Big South record of 3,633.

Maysonet and the Seawolves host Colgate on Saturday afternoon at 6 p.m.
