Stony Brook, N.Y. -

In this week's CAA Football teleconference, head coach Chuck Priore recaps the longest game in school history and looking head to playing Villanova, which is coming off a bye week.

On the game at Buffalo ...
I was very pleased with our character throughout the game and our physicality. We didn't commit too many errors, which is more than 200 plays of football. We didn't allow any big plays to happen, which can be attributed to preparation. It was an interesting game. During the course of the game, I think we played it correctly. We were able to comeback with a fourth-quarter drive and then it went back and forth in overtime. I don't think we're playing the type of football we need to be playing. Anytime you lose, you go back and evaluate those things and try to get better.

On playing Villanova ...
Well, it's a league game in September. We've played one; this is their first. You want to hold your own come conference play no matter what your non-conference record is. It's important to put the game in proper prospective but also understanding there is a long season ahead of us.
