Charlotte, N.C. - Redshirt freshman Jamie Williams (Hamilton, N.J.) of the Stony Brook football team was named Big South Freshman of the Week on Monday morning. Williams led the Seawolves with 144 rushing yards and three touchdowns, both personal bests.

Williams, who averaged 16 yards a carry, scored on runs of 11, 5 and 42 yards, leading Stony Brook to a 77-7 win over Pace.

Williams and the Seawolves head upstate to face Syracuse on Saturday. The game will be televised live on SNY.
