Stony Brook, N.Y. -

In this week's CAA Football teleconference, head coach Chuck Priore recaps a longer-than-usual preseason and looks forward to opening CAA competition at Rhode Island on Saturday.

Preseason Wrap-Up
"I think it was a long preseason.  Obviously we didn't play last week so it made it a longer preseason. We'll inching our way to being game-ready.  I know our guys are really excited to prepare for a real game rather than a scrimmage.  Personally, I'm excited to start our CAA schedule.

On Rhode Island
"They had a very competitive game (against Fordham).  I think the final score was a bit misleading.  It was close in the third quarter and some things didn't go their way.  We're going to be very much challenged in this game on Saturday.  I just think our team needs to take care of ourselves and not worry about our opponent.

On squad's health
"I think we're pretty good.  We're going to be without Davonte Anderson, who injured his shoulder and spring and has a redshirt year, so he'll use that, but otherwise, we're ok.
