Entering its first season of CAA Football, Stony Brook was thought to return five starters on the offensive line. But senior Michael Bamiro was ruled to have exhausted his eligibility thus forcing head coach Chuck Priore to reshuffle some bodies. Heading into 2013 season, Priore thinks this unit is very strong.

Even without Bamiro, the Seawolves return four starters from last year's squad.

Junior Mike Lisi (6-2, 285) is a two-year starter at center who will make all of the line calls. Junior Cody Precht (6-3, 290) will move from right guard, where he started for the last two seasons, to right tackle, taking over for Bamiro. To Lisi's left will be senior Fernando Diaz (6-2, 290), who started 12 of 13 games last season. Left tackle will be manned by another two-year starter in senior Scott Hernandez (6-6, 300), who will protect senior Lyle Negron's blind side.

According to Priore, Precht's versatility and flexibility will allow the Long Island native to play both guard positions and center, if need be.

Junior Arthur Doakes (6-6, 350), a transfer from Pitt, will be the starter at right guard. Doakes made four starts for the Panthers last season, including a start against Notre Dame.

Sophomore Karim Mohamed (6-5, 300) is capable of playing left and right tackle.

Sophomore Gerald Hubshman (6-4, 285) could see time at both guard positions.

Final Thoughts
With Priore having the luxury of Precht's ability to play multiple positions, the offensive line should have a solid season. The addition of Doakes to the mix is a big plus.

Stat Stuffers
• The returning starters on the O-Line - Diaz, Hernandez, Lisi and Precht - have 88 starts between them.
