Stony Brook, N.Y. -

In the 16th installment of #SeawolvesSnaps, GoSeawolves.org returns to its Roster Rundown. Today, we look at the wide receivers. For season tickets, please call (631) 632-WOLF or CLICK HERE

It can be argued that Stony Brook graduated its two most productive wide receivers - Kevin Norrell and Jordan Gush - during the program's Division I history. Norrell, who recorded a school-record 1,388 yards, and Gush combined to account for 1,621 of the team's 2,096 yards. Moreover, the returning receivers accounted for only 196 yards last season.

Despite the losses to graduation, three receivers expected to see playing time are FBS transfers. Junior Adrian Coxson, a transfer from Maryland, used 2012 to adjust to the program. According to head coach Chuck Priore, Coxson had a great spring and could develop as one of the team's long ball threats. Senior Malcolm Eugene, who sat out last year after transferring from Temple, is someone Priore definitely will count on this season. Eugene has shown the ability to make the big plays.

Junior Jahrie Level, a transfer from Idaho, was one of the Vandals' top receivers last year. Level caught 46 passes for 538 yards and two touchdowns, including a TD against LSU. According to Priore, Level adds a lot of experience to an inexperienced group. Senior Devante Wheeler, who moved to receiver after two years as a defensive back, will be in the mix.

Redshirt freshman Nick Wagner adds depth and could see action in a back-up role.

Final Thoughts
Not having Norrell and Gush as starters will hurt, but as Coach Priore is quick to point out, the wide receivers expected to play are upperclassmen. Adding Level early in the summer to the mix is a big plus.

Stat Stuffers
• Statistically, Coxson is the team's leading returning receiver with 127 yards. Senior Matt Faiella is second with 26 yards
• Although most of Eugene's time at Temple came on special teams, he caught two passes in the New Mexico Bowl against Wyoming
• Coincidentally, in 2011, Level replaced Norrell at El Camino Junior College
