Stony Brook, N.Y. - Stony Brook senior running back Marcus Coker (Beltsville, Md.) was named to the Senior Bowl watch list on Thursday. The list includes the nation's top seniors and NFL prospects from around the nation.

"Last year, the inaugural Senior Bowl Watch List included 312 prospects with 94 total players ultimately being drafted from our game," said Senior Bowl Executive Director Phil Savage. "With 60,000-plus athletes playing college football, and only 250 or so NFL draft choices each year, we believe there is some legitimate prestige with being placed on our 'official' Watch List."

Stony Brook's 2012 Offensive Rookie of the Year, Coker rushed for 1,018 yards and nine touchdowns in his first season at Stony Brook. Coker totaled three games of 100 or more yards and eight of his nine touchdowns were within four yards or less.

The University of Iowa transfer has been named a preseason All-American by multiple publications.

Coker and the Seawolves will get underway in just 13 days when the season kicks off at Rhode Island on September 7.
