Philadelphia, Pa. - Senior Michael Bamiro (Tobyhanna, Pa.) of the Stony Brook football team was named to the Sports Network's preseason All-America team, the organization announced on Monday. Bamiro, a first-team selection, was the only offensive representative from the CAA, which Stony Brook officially joined July 1.

Bamiro, who has made 33 straight starts at right tackle, has led a line that has blocked for two 1,000-yard rushers in each of the last three seasons. In the last three seasons, Stony Brook's rushing attack has averaged more than 215 yards per game, ranking in the top 10 of Football Championship Subdivision (FCS).

Stony Brook will jump right into CAA Football action on September 7, traveling to face Rhode Island at 1 p.m.
