Stony Brook Seniors Participate At Fordham's Pro-Day
March 22, 2010
Bronx, N.Y. - Senior running back Conte Cuttino (Uniondale, N.Y.), senior defensive lineman Christopher Perri (Alameda, Calif.), senior defensive back Chris Richards (Quartz Hills, Calif.) and senior linebacker Tyler Santucci (New Kensington, Pa.) each participated at Fordham University's Pro-Day on March 9. NFL scouts and pro-player personnel were on hand to evaluate draft eligible seniors for the 2010 draft. Between the weight room and field, student-athletes had their heights and weights measured as well as vertical and broad jumps, bench press and 40-yard dash times.
Highlights from the day's action included Cuttino, Stony Brook's all-time leading rusher, who ran a 4.53 in the 40, a broad jump of 10'7'', 17 reps of 225 and a pro-day best of 40 ½ vertical jump. A defensive lineman, Perri ran a 4.9 40, 30 ½ vertical, and a nine on the broad jump. Richards posted a 4.45 time in the 40, 35 ½ vertical and 16 repetitions of 225. Santucci, an All-American this year, recorded a 32 on the vertical jump and 25 reps of 225.
All four players led Stony Brook to a share of the Big South Championship in just its second season of full-scholarship football under head coach Chuck Priore. The Seawolves open the 2010 season at South Florida on Saturday, September 4.
The 2010 NFL draft takes place April 22-24 at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.
