Ahmad Reid signs NLI to complete men's hoops recruiting class

Reid is a four-sport star at the Berkshire School and will play basketball for Stony Brook beginning this fall.

2011-12: Appeared in 30 games as a top reserve...averaged 11.2 minutes per game...shot 36% from three-point range...posted a season-best six points vs. Fairleigh Dickinson (Dec. 7) and Binghamton (Feb. 1)...grabbed a season-high five rebounds at Hartford (Feb. 21).

2010-11: Played in all 32 games, making 28 starts...ranked third on the team in rebounds (127) and blocks (11) and fourth in three-pointers made (24)...played strong defense the entire season...produced his first career double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds vs. Wagner (Nov. 21)...scored 13 points at Columbia (Dec. 4)...had 10 points and a career-high three steals in a 54-53 win at Holy Cross (Dec. 7)...put up 12 points and three assists in Stony Brook's 71-69 overtime win against Maine (Feb. 12) in front of a sold-out Stony Brook Arena crowd...tied a season high with 14 points in the 79-73 overtime win at Hartford (Feb. 23).

2009-10: Appeared in all 32 games, making two starts ... saw 13 minutes of action, grabbing three rebounds, in season-opening victory at Maryland Eastern Shore (11/13) ... scored four points and grabbed a career-high seven rebounds at Wagner (11/21) ... made first career start in win over NJIT (11/28) ... hit two three-pointers in win at Lehigh (11/30) ... scored season-high 12 points in win over Columbia (12/5) ... hit back-to-back three-pointers to tie the game with seven and a half minutes remaining ... hit career-high three three-pointers ... scored 10 points in nine minutes of action in win over Boston University (1/30) ... had six points and three rebounds against Binghamton (2/13) ...scored eight points in 21 minutes of action against Illinois in first round of NIT (3/17).

2008-09: Appeared in 22 games off the bench, averaging 11.9 minutes per game ... scored team-high 11 points on 5-for-7 shooting in season-opening victory over Maryland Eastern-Shore (11/14) ... tallied season-highs in points (20) and rebounds (six) against No. 2 Connecticut (12/15) ... shot 8-for-13 from the field against the Huskies ... named America East Rookie of the Week on Dec. 22.

High School:Led his Reading Rockets to back-to-back titles at the European Championships [Division B] in 2006 and 2007 ... voted Player of the Month in February 2008 ... averaged 22.8 points, 8.7 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game in 2007-08 ... earned England's U-18 National Player of the Year honors in 2007 ... named MVP of the Sure Shot Cup Final and RAF Final Four, scoring 37 and 35 points in back-to-back games .
