Stony Brook, N.Y. - The Stony Brook baseball team has just one midweek game this week, and it's at home as the Seawolves host the Fairfield Stags Wednesday at Joe Nathan Field at 3:30 p.m. The Seawolves are looking to build momentum as they head towards the home stretch of conference play. They have won three of their last four games, including taking a road series at Binghamton.

Fairfield enters the game 12-26 overall and 4-11 in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. The Stags have lost nine of their last 11 games. Their leading hitter is Ryan Plourde, who is hitting .360 with two home runs and 28 RBI and is a perfect 13-for-13 in stolen base attempts.

The two teams last met on April 27, 2011, a 9-0 Seawolves victory at Fairfield. The Seawolves have won four straight in the series.
