2013: Started 15 games as a freshman...2-8 with a 4.95 ERA and a team-best 77 strikeouts over 83-2/3 innings...named to the America East All-Rookie team...threw five scoreless innings, recording six strike outs and allowing one run on five hits against Florida International in the first start of his collegiate career (2/17)... Named America East Rookie of the Week on Feb. 18...got the 5-2 win over UMBC while recording nine strikeouts and allowing one run on five hits (3/30)...named America East Rookie of the Week on April 1...fanned eight batters at Albany (4/7)...struck out six and gave up only three runs in six innings vs. Hartford (4/14)...tossed eight shutout innings and matched his career high in strikeouts with nine at Maine (4/21)...named America East Rookie of the Week on April 22...allowed only one run on four hits over seven innings and earned the win in SB's 8-4 victory at Binghamton (4/28)...repeated as America East Rookie of the Week on April 29...struck out a career-high 13 batters over eight innings but was the tough-luck loser in 3-1 loss vs. Maine in the America East Championship (5/24).
