#Seawolves participate in pair of weekend invitationals

Stony Brook, N.Y. – The Stony Brook men’s cross country team hit the course at Princeton, while the women traveled to Wisconsin to race against nationally ranked competition Saturday at the Princeton and Wisconsin Invitationals.
Tyler Frigge finished 30th out of 272 runners in 24:37 to lead the Seawolves at the Princeton Invitational. Chris Sauer logged a time of 25:03 and took 59th as SB placed 17th out of 30 teams, including No. 8 Columbia, No. 10 Princeton, No. 18 Iona and No 23 Villanova. The Wildcats won the meet with 27 points.
The women lined up against tough opponents in No. 1 Providence, No. 3 Arizona and No. 8 Arkansas. Seniors Olivia Burne and Annie Keown continued to impress, this time in a field of 288 runners. Burne clocked in at 20:50 and placed 69th, while Keown crossed the finish line in 20:59 and secured 83rd. Stony Brook took 30th out of 37 teams, and Arizona placed first.
The Seawolves are back in action Friday, Oct. 25 at the Central Connecticut Mini Meet.
